Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience with a Michigan RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms

• Care for antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients

• Provide OR circulating and scrub duties as well as couplet care

• Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios

• Use of Epic EMR system

• Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 07:00 to 19:30

• Every other weekend required

• May float within the hospital as a sitter and to another facility (27 miles away) based on census

• No on-call responsibilities

• RNs are responsible for lab draws and completing newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine

• Training provided for newborn infant hearing screening

• Scrubs are provided

• Must be available to work without requested time off during the first two weeks of the contract

Requirements

• Current MI RN license

• Minimum 2 years of experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and Labor & Delivery

• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM

• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred

• Ability to circulate, handle FHM triage; scrubbing experience preferred

• Experience with Epic EMR is required
