Bronson Healthcare invites applications for an LPN position on Med/Surg units in the primary Bronson Battle Creek Hospital location. This is a PRN/Per‑Diem/Casual variable‑shift role open to qualified LPNs throughout Michigan.

Job OverviewAs an LPN under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide direct patient care, administer medication, manage IV therapy, and support a range of medical and surgical teams. The role spans multiple units including General Medical, Neurovascular/Ortho, and Oncology/Medical/Surgical.
Responsibilities- Facilitate prescribed medical treatments and personal care services within the scope of LPN practice.
- Assist the RN in collecting data, accompanying patients, and responding to patient/family requests.
- Pass medications and administer IV therapy under RN supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation in computerized systems (e.g., Express Care log, Pro Health guidelines).
- Respond to call lights, monitor alarms, and provide bedside assistance.
- Collect and record vital signs, intake and output, weight, and other patient data.
- Manage medication administration, observe for adverse reactions, and report findings.
- Perform wound care, enemas, douches, and basic patient hygiene.
- Assist with patient mobilization, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Support unit flow, coordinate with charge nurses, and adherence to unit protocols.
- Restructure and preserve a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- High school diploma or GED plus an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Valid LPN license in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- BLS certification required by the end of core orientation.
- Experience in a health care delivery setting preferred.
- Cognizant of clinical competencies required for general medical, surgical, and oncology units.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform patient handling.
- Effective communication skills in speaking and writing; clear, competent bedside manner.
Variable shift schedule. Part‑time – 10 scheduled weekly hours.
