High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must be a Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson (as recognized by the Department of Labor) or have 5 years equivalent machine repair or electrician experience working with a recognized Machine Repair or Electrician Journeyperson.

Associates must meet most job requirements at time of bid year (possess approximately 75% of requirements as outlined in the job posting.) and demonstrate ability to meet full scope of job requirements within one year.
REQUIREMENT SCOPE
- Review of safety hazards unique to the position
- Know types of bearings, proper use / installation
- Precision bearings:
- Understand Pre-Load, Alignment, Run-out, Endplay
- Journal, Needle, Taper, Ceramic
- Basic welding
- Basic welding, Bender, Shear
- Basic Machinist skills
- Saws, Hydraulic brake press
- Basic fabrication
- Hand sketch drawing & layout
- Read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
- Use of precision measurement tools
- Calipers, Micrometers, Height gauge
- Understand concepts of machine alignment verification (static alignment)
- Jo-blocks, Dial indicators
- Have a basic understanding of how to troubleshoot, repair and replace gearboxes, conveyors, clutches
- Motor service & bearing replacement
- Brakes, Couplings, Chains
- Know how to splice and tension / track belt conveyors and systems
- Proper alignment procedure for chain / sprocket / shafts / couplings
- Must understand DMMI lifting procedures, determine load capacity
- Chains, Slings, Wire, Boom
- General knowledge of determining weights and safe picking procedures
- Fork Lift PIV license
- Overhead Crane operation
- Concept of core assembly machines
- Identification of key components / stations of machines
- Understanding of machine alignment fundamentals
- Understand basic pneumatics systems and troubleshoot
- Operate / home - Understand Hydraulic system and understand pascal clamps
- Basic understanding of furnace / oven operation
- Basic understanding of cooling water circuits
- Understanding of gas burner and gas apparatus operation
- Agitator, blower, system fan service and rebuild
More than 2 years in current position unless promo table
