Responsibilities:- Manages daily operations of the program area (reception, call center, client services, property management, ordering of office supplies, etc.) with thorough knowledge of and in full compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, grant requirements, Agency policies, and procedures.
- Oversees and manages the complete intake process,FE including supervision of client services and referrals for low‑income and special needs clients; administers intake documentation and needs‑assessment systems; identifies participant characteristics and appropriate utilization of county programs; processes approved intakes and client‑payment requisitions; and adapts the intake process as needed (e.g., implementing remote/virtual intake) to meet changing Agency requirements.
- Provides direct oversight, supervision, and management of all intake staff, including hiring, training, cross‑training in all housing programs, ongoing skill‑building, annual performance evaluations, and maximization of staff productivity, quality performance, and professional development.
- Designs, maintains, and delivers standardized training materials, tools, workflows, and education sessions for intake staff with emphasis on client coaching and
523; wrap‑around services. - Provides ongoing supervision and support to Intake Specialists to ensure effective delivery of client coaching and wrap‑around services.
- Assists the Assistant Director of Emergency & Support Services in developing, implementing, and monitoring client coaching and wrap‑around policies and procedures.
- Maintains comprehensive records for all funding activities; reconciles monthly grant expenditures with finance reports; ensures Empow
OR compliance and reporting; and prepares and submits all required monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad‑hoc reports for the Agency. - Develops, maintains, and expands referral resources and partnerships with community agencies across all assigned county service areas to better serve clients.
- Assists the Assistant Director of Emergency & Support Services with annual agency fundraising campaigns and other assigned events, including coordination of staff and volunteers, solicitation of monetary and non‑monetary donations, site procurement, supplies management, and maintenance of accurate event records.
- Reviews intake schedules daily and weekly to ensure proper staffing coverage and makes adjustments as necessary; conducts regular staff meetings and team‑building exercises.
- Represents the Agency at business, human services, and community meetings; attends required monthly community meetings, staff meetings, seminars, and training sessions.
- Establishes and promotes positive interdepartmental relations, partnerships with external agencies, and adherence to the Agency’s Vision, Mission, Culture Statements, and Community Action Culture.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Physical Requirements:Regularly required to sit, to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, bend, and walk. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must have the ability to travel in motor vehicle and/or other forms of graft, for hours at a time and have physical mobility to move around airports as well as in and out of motor vehicles.
Education:
Education: This position requires knowledge equivalent to that acquired by completing one to two years of college, technical, vocational, or business school in human services, social work, business administration, or a related field. Knowledge equivalent to that acquired in the first two or three years of college is desirable.
