OT - Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.

• Assess patient levels of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning for each patient.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students in the application of OT techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to established safety protocols.
• Attend and actively participate in scheduled conferences and team meetings.
• Budget time and set priorities for efficient patient care.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• Valid, current state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
