Overview
System Manager Imaging Services (Bronson Battle Creek)
• Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Available
Location:

Employee Type:
Full-time, First Shift, 40 hours per week

- Plan, organize, and direct the operations of one or more diagnostic areas within Imaging Services (e.g., Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, MRI, PET, CT, Breast Imaging).
- Support the inpatient facility, Trauma and Emergency, on-site outpatients, and off-site outpatients; ensure competencies for population served.
- In collaboration with the Imaging Director, develop short- and long-term goals, prepare and secure approval of the department budgets, and contribute to policy formulation.
- Lead and coach staff; hire, develop, and evaluate personnel; promote inter-departmental teamwork within the Imaging Department and hospital.
- Prepare departmental records, reports, and analyses; monitor progress toward goals and take corrective action as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of safety and quality standards (MQSA, ACR, OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNREC, JCAHO) and patient safety protocols, infection control, and radiation safety practices.
- Demonstrate flexibility in staffing and adapt to changes in patient care practice; exercise independent judgment and critical thinking.
- Monitor workload and coordinate with Purchasing, Central Distribution, and vendors to maintain adequate supplies and inventory.
- Identify problems affecting lag time, testing quality, or test result reporting; apply continuous improvement methods.
- Currently licensed by ARRT (Diagnostic Radiology), ARDMS (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, or licensed registered nurse in Michigan; bachelor’s degree with a management focus preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Leadership and communication skills: effective teamwork, coaching, and development of coworkers; strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to prepare and interpret departmental reports and analyses; ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards and patient safety protocols.
