The System Manager of Imaging Services works in partnership with the Director of Diagnostics to plan, organize, and direct daily operations across one or more imaging modalities, including:

• Diagnostic X-ray
• Nuclear Medicine
• Ultrasound
• MRI
• PET
• CT
• Breast Imaging
• This role supports inpatient services, Trauma and Emergency care, on-site outpatient services, and off-site outpatient locations. The System Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient imaging services across Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
• Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.

• Provide operational leadership for assigned imaging areas, ensuring efficient workflows, quality outcomes, and patient-centered care
• Collaborate with the Imaging Director to develop short- and long-term departmental goals and strategic plans
• Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, securing appropriate approvals
• Lead hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of imaging staff
• Promote collaboration and strong communication among physicians, leadership, staff, and other departments
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including MQSA, ACR, OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNREC, and Joint Commission standards
• Oversee patient safety initiatives, infection control practices, radiation safety, and quality control programs
• Analyze operational and performance reports, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
• Partner with Purchasing, Central Distribution, and vendors to maintain appropriate inventory and supplies
• Apply continuous improvement methods to address issues impacting turnaround times, test quality, and reporting accuracy
• Demonstrate flexibility in staffing and adaptability to evolving patient care needs

Current licensure in one of the following:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally with a management focus
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, engage, and develop team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, critical thinking, and operational decision-making
• Comfort managing work that requires sustained concentration, attention to detail, and frequent computer use
