Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, specifically for manufacturing operations.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast for production costs, material costs, labor, and overhead.
- Support cost accounting activities, including standard cost development, COGS analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Analyze capital expenditure requests, performing ROI and payback period calculations for manufacturing equipment and projects.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and performance dashboards for manufacturing leadership, highlighting key trends and insights.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in month-end close activities, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of manufacturing expenses and inventory.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in manufacturing.
- Experience analyzing operational performance metrics, inventory, and supply chain costs.
- Advanced skills in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) common in manufacturing.
- Ability to provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency improvements.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles specific to a production environment
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Understanding of supply chain finance concepts and inventory valuation methods
