CMM Programmer - Battle Creek Area

Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs using specified software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to create accurate measurement routines.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final product inspections, analyzing results against specifications.
• Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain CMM equipment, fixtures, and probes, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and analyze measurement data to support quality decisions and process improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define measurement strategies and resolve non-conformances.

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Expertise in interpreting engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
• Proven experience programming and operating CMMs for complex manufactured parts.
• Ability to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize inspection routines.

• Proficiency with 3D scanning or other advanced metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser trackers).
• Experience in fixture design and fabrication for CMM measurement setups.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality data analysis.
• Ability to develop custom scripts (e.g., Python, VBA) for data processing or CMM routine optimization.
