Controls Engineer - Battle Creek Area

Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

• Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
• Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical and control system failures on production lines.
• Commission, test, and validate new automated machinery and processes.
• Optimize existing control systems for performance, reliability, and safety.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams.
• Create and maintain detailed control system documentation, schematics, and standards.

• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development.
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Ether Net/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Proven experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated manufacturing systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
• Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB).
