Battle Creek Academy (BCA)—the flagship school of Adventist Education—located in Battle Creek, is seeking applications for a High School English Instructor for the 2026–2027 school year. Battle Creek Academy is a K–12-day school supported by three constituent Seventh-day Adventist churches and dedicated to academic excellence, faith integration, and whole-person development. About Our Community
Battle Creek—often called the "Cereal City"—is home to the WK Kellogg Company and Post Consumer Brands, and is rich in both American and Adventist history. A key stop on the Underground Railroad, the city later became home to abolitionist Sojourner Truth and played a foundational role in the early development of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Founded in 1872, Battle Creek Academy was the first denominationally sponsored Seventh-day Adventist school. Its scenic 40-acre campus lies less than a mile from the Historic Adventist Village and just over an hour from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
The surrounding region offers rich cultural and recreational opportunities, including Lake Michigan beaches, the Field of Flight Air Show & Hot Air Balloon Festival, Binder Park Zoo, Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, and Kellogg Forest—inviting residents to explore God's second book: nature.
