Plant Accounting Manager

A large, well‑established global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for its Battle Creek, MI location. This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule and the opportunity to lead a small, high‑performing accounting team within a stable and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, and costing.
• Oversee accurate and timely month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and internal control standards.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of four accounting professionals.
• Support accurate financial reporting, management reporting, and related analyses.
• Partner with operational and corporate stakeholders to strengthen processes and improve overall financial accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA, CMA, or an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting and physical inventory.
• Demonstrated career progression with a stable employment history.
