Shipping and Receiving Representative

Baton Rouge, LA:
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Representative.

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Verify order accuracy against sales orders and packing lists
• Package industrial products securely to prevent damage during transit
• Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and required documentation
• Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers (LTL, parcel, freight)
• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
• Match received materials to purchase orders and packing slips
• Report shortages, overages, or damaged goods to management
• Enter shipping and receiving data into ERP or inventory systems
• Label, stock, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Assist with returns, RMAs, and restocking activities
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in an industrial distribution environment
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Basic computer skills; ERP or warehouse management system experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Knowledge of freight shipping methods (LTL, UPS, Fed Ex, common carriers) preferred
• Experience with industrial products such as valves, fittings, MRO supplies, or mechanical/electrical components preferred

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
• Ability to work in a warehouse and industrial environment
