Courier Responsibilities

• Ensures customers' satisfaction by making pick-ups and deliveries in a proficient and timely manner.
• This position reports directly to the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Assistant Site Manager, depending on site personnel configuration.
• Delivers messages, telegrams, documents, packages, and other items to business establishments and performs the following duties:
• Travels to delivery sites on foot, by bicycle, automobile, or public conveyance.
• Keeps a log of items received and delivered.
• Obtains receipts for articles delivered.
• Follows appropriate chain‑of‑custody protocols (e.g., TRAC).
• Services deliverable vehicles, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
• Performs pick‑up and delivery of jobs by accurately following a map and/or written instructions.
• Follows RICOH Service Excellence performance requirements.
• Maintains compliance with state and company standards by operating a vehicle safely and lawfully and following company guidelines in the event of an accident or injury.
• Responds to client requests, ensuring the accuracy of the order taken and delivery of the completed orders in a timely manner.
• Paperwork is completed in a timely, accurate, and legible manner.
• Maintains a professional appearance to clients by dressing in professional attire according to company standards.
• Communicates vehicle safety by maintaining routine maintenance on all delivery vehicles (oil change, tire rotation, etc.) according to company specifications.
• Meets company attendance standards by reporting to work punctually and working all scheduled hours, including any required overtime.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works independently and makes sound decisions with the needs of the customer and the business in mind.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state driver's license and driving record that meets company standards.
• Experience with electronic communication devices and in a team environment.
• Technical ability, including computers and email basics.
• Knowledge of TRAC.

• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read maps, follow written instructions, and complete paperwork accurately.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Competency in performing multiple functional tasks.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Critical thinking and decision‑making skills.

• Couriers spend most of their time alone, making deliveries, and are not closely supervised.
• Those who deliver by bicycle are exposed to all weather conditions and traffic hazards.
• Car, van, and truck Couriers may carry heavy loads, either manually or with a hand truck.
• Couriers must deal with difficult parking situations, traffic jams, and road construction.
• In the office, the environment has adequate lighting, ventilation, and a normal temperature and noise level.
• Work assignments are diversified and require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Moderate dexterity and regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
