Handyman - Maintenance Technician
Location: Baton Rouge, Area LA
Pay: $28-$30 per hour (Based on Experience)
Hours: 40-50 per week
Position Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Handyman - Maintenance Technician to join our team in Baton Rouge Area, LA.
This is a long-term position offering steady hours, competitive pay, and work in a commercial and residential environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (required)
- Assist with plumbing, welding, carpentry, masonry, drywall repair, and general facility repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Support operations teams with technical expertise
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company standards
- Strong electrical maintenance experience (required)
- Commercial and/or residential maintenance background preferred
- Experience in plumbing, welding, masonry, or carpentry is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
- Must have reliable commercial-grade transportation (pickup truck or transit van)
- Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug test
- Consistent 40-50 hour workweeks
