- Starting salary of $30+ per hour depending on experience

The hours and location you’ll work in as a Lead Diesel Mechanic with WM:
- Monday – Friday; occasional weekends
- Stable hours for financial security and work–life balance
- Work in a repair/maintenance shop setting
What you’ll do:
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
- Perform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conduct safety checks to employees and the community.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and repair times.
- Review and complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate/OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Over 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (with or without reasonable accommodations)
- Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical
