Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Grocery Store Manager at Shoppers Value Foods LA. The role is based in Baton Rouge, LA. The Assistant Grocery Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventory levels, assisting customers, supervising staff, ensuring accurate sales recording, and supporting the implementation of sales strategies.

• Proficient in Customer Service and skilled in effectively addressing customer needs and concerns
• Strong Communication skills essential to liaise with team members, customers, and suppliers
• Experience in Supermarkets and understanding of retail store operations and functions
• Proven skills in Sales and ability to drive revenue growth
• Knowledge of Inventory Control, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining accurate inventory records
• Leadership and organizational skills to effectively supervise employees, delegate tasks, and uphold store standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• At least 1 year prior experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in business or management is a plus
