Sales Associate (Part-Time) – Mall of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, LA

DTLR, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Part‑Time Sales Associate to help customers have the best experience possible whenever they enter a DTLR store.

A Part‑Time Sales Associate is expected to drive the selling efforts and customer relationships by excelling in customer service and selling techniques. The role includes performing all daily store functions such as product merchandising, sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Key responsibilities are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

• Display basic fashion and trend knowledge to satisfy customer needs while maintaining DTLR standards and building relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to each customer, demonstrating enthusiasm toward job and company.
• Comply with all company policies.
• Embrace service training and product programs.
• Ensure all visual standards are followed; complete daily restock and represent adequate size runs per visual directions.
• Assist in eliminating both employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
• Assist with keeping the store organized as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

• Previous work experience in retail or customer service is preferred, but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Excellent command of the English language to communicate with management, customers and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge with a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem‑solving, analytical, and detail orientation skills.
• Flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time; lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation is required.
