Position: DISHWASHER (FULL AND PART TIME) at LSU

Job Title:

Dishwasher (Full and Part Time)

Position at Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services, Louisiana State University – South Stadium Dr Administrative Support Building, Baton Rouge, LA 70803.

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time dishwasher positions. Applicants may apply online only.

Requirement:
Prior dishwashing experience preferred.

Pay Range: $11.00 – $13.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to a dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Polish silver using burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
  • Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
  • Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
  • Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Help load and unload supplies and product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
