Overview

We are hiring immediately for full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions.

GEO Prep Academy - 4006 Platt Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70814.

Schedule:

Full time schedule. Monday - Friday between 5:30 am - 5:00 pm. Multiple shifts available. More details upon interview.

Pay Range: $10.00 per hour to $13.00 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

• Performs cashiering duties as part of general food service work.
• Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables; weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards; distributes supplies and utensils.
• Stores foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating, storage and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils; ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and handles customer complaints professionally.
• Relays information to supervisor as needed.
• Performs sales transactions and enters sales into the cash register; handles cash, cards and receipts.
• Maintains cash drawer with appropriate change; issues receipts and handles refunds following standard procedures.
• Manages change funds and cash receipts in accordance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Food Service experience preferred.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
