US Fusion & Specialty Construction

General Description:

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the company's quality program across all shop and field operations. This role drives a culture of quality by establishing procedures, conducting training, performing audits and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.

The Quality Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and operates independently of construction personnel to ensure that quality is never compromised for cost or schedule. When quality is at risk, this position has full authority to stop work and escalate concerns to VP of Operations or, if necessary, directly to the President/CEO.

This role provides leadership to the QC Coordinator (or equivalent) and serves as a key resource for all shop and field employees. A proactive, hands-on approach is essential to continuously improve quality performance and reinforce safe work practices.

Essential Functions:

Prepare, maintain and revise the USF/USR Quality Training Manual as necessary.

Conduct pre-job reviews to identify quality requirements and communicate them to responsible parties.

Manage and maintain the equipment calibration program.

Document and communicate quality related failures to Construction and Project Management teams.

Attend Pre-bid meetings and client quality management meetings.

Provide training on all quality-related procedures.

Oversee welding procedures and welder qualifications in accordance with ASTM, ASME, AWS and other applicable standards.

Stay current with industry installation and testing standards.

Manage and update QA processes, procedures and documentation.

Monitor job quality through audits of field QC forms, weld logs and related records.

Review job QC packages for completeness and accuracy.

Manage QC related pr qualification requirements as needed.

Develop project specific Quality Plans and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Cross-train with other departments as needed

2. Participates in other duties as assigned by the President

3. Corroborate with other departments for maximization of the Company

Position Requirements

Preferred Experience, Education, and Licensure:

Degree in Construction Management, BBA, or related field

Knowledgeable of relevant industry standards such as NACE certified, ASME, ASTM, AWS, PPI

5-10 years' experience

Valid Driver's License

Valid TWIC - OSHA card

NACE Experience

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required to travel as needed to satisfy operation's needs

Equipment/mechanical knowledge required

Proficient in M.S. Office software package

Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, photocopiers, facsimile machines and printers

Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to multitask

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent phone communicator

Critical thinking / problem solving skills

Conveys a professional and positive image and attitude regarding US Fusion

Able to work nights and weekends as necessary for project completion
