What We're Looking For- Compassionate and collaborative team player with strong clinical judgment
- Proficient in prioritizing care and performing comprehensive assessments across all age groups
- Experience in burn care, wound management, or critical care preferred (1 year RN experience desired)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS), and Critical Care Course preferred
- Current Louisiana RN licensure required
- Knowledge of ECG rhythm interpretation;
American Burn Association membership preferred

What You Will DoCoordinate and provide comprehensive patient care for burn patients, ensuring assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation are completed in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct and document systematic physical, psychosocial, functional, and nutritional assessments
- Formulate nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes based on collected data
- Develop and update individualized care plans, collaborating with all care team members
- Implement prescribed interventions and deliver direct patient care
- Delegate appropriate tasks while maintaining oversight and accountability
- Evaluate patient responses to care and modify plans as necessary
- Provide patient/family education and coordinate discharge planning
- Deliver specialized care for pediatric to elderly patients with burn injuries, including debridement support, wound dressing, and procedural preparation
- Direct unit operations during assigned shift, including admissions, discharges, communication, and staff assignments
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
