• 1-year Clinical RN Experience Required
• Graduation from an accredited WOCN program preferred
• WOCN certification within 18 months of employment
• Current Louisiana RN licensure

• Coordinate and provide expert care for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs.
• Educate patients, families, and staff while guiding care plans that foster independence and healing.
• Coordinate patient assessment through collection of patient’s health data.
• Analyze patient assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and identify expected outcomes.
• Coordinate an interdisciplinary plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Implement the interventions identified in the plan of care.
• Evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Perform patient assessment, develop plan of care and implement treatments for patients with selected disorders.
• Serve as primary educator for patients/significant others and staff regarding W.O.C. issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency and knowledge base of ostomy, wound, and continence management.
