• Job Title: RN - OR
• Job Location: Baton Rouge, LA 70816
• Job Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)
• Shift: Day, 12-hour shifts with call responsibilities
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years as an OR Circulator, capable of covering multiple service lines

• Required:
  
  Registered Nurse Diploma
• Preferred:
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

• Current RN License in state of practice
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Preferred:
  Clinical specialty certifications

Fast-paced, minimal supervision, handling confidential info

• Heavy work (lifting/moving 50-100 lbs occasionally)
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and waste

• Use the Nursing Process for patient care delivery in the OR.
• Assess and address patient/family learning needs with appropriate teaching.
• Delegate and manage nursing team resources effectively.
• Collaborate as a leader within the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize data to improve patient outcomes and promote positive changes.
• Maintain knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws and comply with all regulations.
• Support company philosophy and demonstrate accountability for personal practice.
• Participate in initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, employee morale, and nursing practice.
• Report any suspected unethical behavior, patient safety or compliance concerns immediately.

• Strong organizational, time management, and delegation skills.
• Good judgment and interpersonal communication.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader.
• Commitment to cultural sensitivity and professional ethics.
