• Perform psychosocial/physiologic assessments, integrating changing data.
• Formulate a plan of care based on trends, including patient education and discharge planning.
• Participate in planning routine transitional health‑care needs.
• Respond to changes in patient’s needs and provide holistic care using independent clinical judgment.
• Adapt planned educational programs to individual patients and families.
• Ensure efficiency in delivery of care, prioritizing and solving problems.
• Actively advocate for patient rights and resolve conflicts.
• Identify variances from expected outcomes and evaluate results to revise care plans.
• Document all patient care activities as per standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with the health‑care team, patients, and families.
• Appropriately delegate care activities and assist with staffing.
• Maintain knowledge of unit initiatives and incorporate outcomes into practice.
• Participate on unit teams, work groups, or committees.
• Demonstrate knowledge of unit‑based quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Incorporate evidence‑based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor to team members.
• Identify learning needs and pursue continuing education and competencies.
• Ensure practice improvements through self‑development in lifelong learning.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Proficient in the English language; strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills
• Current Louisiana State license as RN and BLS certification
