Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a compact or LA RN license, with on-call and conscious sedation responsibilities.

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
• Standard procedure hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility required for earlier or later procedures
• Call is divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend, including holidays
• Weekend call shifts require on-call coverage from Friday close of business until Monday morning, with a 30-minute response time
• Possible floating between the Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab departments based on need
• Must be able to participate in emergency response teams as assigned by unit management during emergency events
• Roles may include supporting Cardiac Cath Lab in addition to Interventional Radiology as required
• Holiday and after-hours call coverage is expected and divided among staff

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; both must be from AHA
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Interventional Radiology
• Must be competent in performing conscious sedation and monitoring and recording IR procedures
• Candidates must live at least 65 miles away; facility does not accept local travelers
• Unit will not accept first time travelers
