NourishCorps pantry member- Shreveport

Nourish Corps Food Pantry Members will serve food bank clients – referred to as “neighbors,” recognizing their firsthand experience with food insecurity – by offering one-on-one guidance with food assistance applications and pantry shopping, while fostering connections between neighbors and the food bank.

• Providing one-on-one guidance to neighbors as they submit food assistance applications, helping ensure neighbors understand the process and can successfully access pantry service.
• Supporting neighbors as they navigate the pantry experience, ensuring they feel welcomed, understand their options, and can select foods that meet their household’s needs.
• Connecting pantry shoppers with other assistance programs and resources that they may qualify for, improving their long-term food security and building stronger connections between the food bank and its neighbors.

• Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend
