As the Director of Account Services - Automotive Division, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a team of Account Managers and Auto Division Managers dedicated to servicing our automotive clients. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic account plans, fostering client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the automotive industry, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering exceptional client service.
This is an in-office that will be filled for our headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA. Objectives- Maintain high standards of service within the department to fulfill client satisfaction within our existing portfolio.
- Manage the Operations layer of support for the Account Management team, including Auto Division Managers.
- Manage relationships with both partners and clients.
- Keep client and employee retention above minimum performance standards.
- Roll out initiatives pushed down by the Executive team to support more efficient processes for managing client expectations.
- Support, mentor, and manage the performance of all Automotive Account Managers, while also holding them accountable to meeting their responsibilities.
- Directly responsible for the management of all employees in the Automotive Account Management division, including Auto Division Managers, Account Managers, and Marketing Coordinators.
- Manage recruitment and pipeline of new department hires and overall bandwidth of department.
- Constant evaluation of employee performance and development.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a point of contact for various automotive clients and ensuring their needs are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including all fulfillment departments, to develop solutions tailored to client needs.
- Drive innovation and leadership within the automotive division, staying up to date with industry trends, technologies and best practices.
- Manage team expectations and standards on all deliverables and deadlines.
- Monitor and hold AM’s and ADM’s accountable to all department and company policies, processes, and initiatives.
- Monitor account performance, analyze data, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement business development strategies to expand automotive presence and secure new business.
- Provide insights from a client-facing perspective when discussing internal initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives.
- Manage a structure/process for tracking Client Deliverables (Notes, Sales, Quality of notes).
- Travel to meet with clients to review performance and as needed (Q ).
- Other duties may be assigned.
- 4+ years of experience in account management or client services, with a focus on the automotive industry
- 5+ years of people management and leadership
- Experience in driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, and leading high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of SEM/PPC, SEO, Programmatic Display and Video, Social Media Marketing, OTT/CTV
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with automotive dealerships with knowledge of automotive consumer trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex concepts and build rapport with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency using industry tools (Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Ads).
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Google Chat).
