Job OverviewThe Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and assists with all properties’ maintenance needs, ensuring physical appearance and timely completion of work orders. The role includes hands‑on maintenance of units and grounds, responding to work orders, handling the turn and make‑ready process, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service. Rotating on‑call and some weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities- Participate in the daily operations of the property
- Respond to work orders per company policy
- Maintain grounds and exterior upkeep as needed
- Execute the turn and make‑ready process
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections
- Inspect units for move‑in readiness
- Ensure compliance with company policy, state and federal safety, and fair housing laws
- Perform hands‑on maintenance tasks
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with improvement ideas for the property and the position
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience (required)
- Experience with multi‑unit complexes or hotels preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems (preferred)
- HVAC certification preferred
- Mechanical background preferred
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and work with heavy equipment
- Residence within 30 minutes of the property and a valid driver’s license
