Paralegal Legal Assistant

Job Description

Our client is looking for a sharp, motivated Paralegal with experience in estate planning and / or corporate transaction experience to join their Baton Rouge team. You’ll support attorneys with drafting, research, filings, and client communication—basically keeping cases running smoothly. If you’re a fast learner, organized, and comfortable in a busy environment, this could be a great fit.

• 3+ years in a private law firm.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with complex documents.
• Ability to navigate private and government websites with ease for the purposes of research and records.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Paralegal certificate required, bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Confidence to ask questions when needed.

• Draft and review estate planning and corporate formation documents (wills, trusts, POAs, etc.).
• Handle legal filing and e-filing with courts and agencies.
• Prep materials for client meetings and legal proceedings.
• Research estate and corporate law issues.
• Keep case files and contracts organized and accurate.
• Work independently but collaborate well with the team.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all ethical guidelines.
