We are seeking an Educational Consultant 4 within the Office of Assessments, Accountability, and Analytics to lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of Louisiana’s statewide assessment and data systems. This role manages large-scale contracts, oversees federal funding, and provides strategic leadership that shapes statewide education policy, program delivery, and system performance.

Job Duties- Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of Louisiana’s statewide assessment programs and EdLink data system.
- Manage multi-million dollar contracts and ensure timely, compliant execution of deliverables by assessment vendors and EdLink contractors.
- Develop and monitor year-long project plans, timelines, and performance goals aligned to statewide education priorities.
- Analyze data from federal, state, and district sources to inform program planning, policy updates, and improvement efforts.
- Coordinate across LDOE teams to ensure alignment between assessments, accountability, and instructional initiatives.
- Prepare regular updates and reports for agency leadership, BESE, federal agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the Title I, Part B federal program budget, including fund allocation, compliance, and reporting in coordination with LDOE finance teams.
- Serve as a program lead and technical advisor for assessment and accountability work, including supervising contractors and providing guidance to internal staff.
- Design and lead professional development, technical assistance sessions, and communication systems for district leaders and school system staff.
- Develop user-friendly guidance documents, newsletters, and resources to improve statewide understanding and use of assessment and accountability data.
- Participate in office-wide and cross-agency strategic projects, ensuring assessment and data priorities are represented in broader LDOE initiatives.
- Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.
- Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.
- Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
- Note regarding the advertised pay range: The Education Consultant series has a special entrance rate (SER) of $31.25 hourly, $2,500 biweekly that is above the minimum hire rate for these positions. The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
