Position

Senior Technical Product Business Analyst at Paperless Environments. You will work with Product Management and Development to define product requirements and ensure smooth Agile execution of our SaaS solutions. You will translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements, groom and prioritize the product backlog, and collaborate with developers throughout the development lifecycle. You will ensure new features and enhancements are well-defined, delivered on time, and meet high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

You will also champion Agile processes to help the team maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • User Story Definition:
    Translate business and user needs into detailed backlog items with clear acceptance criteria and use cases; ensure requirements are documented clearly for the development team.
  • Backlog Grooming & Agile Planning:
    Proactively manage and groom the product backlog, maintain a well-prioritized list of user stories and epics; collaborate with the Product Manager to prioritize backlog items aligned with product roadmap and customer value; prepare user stories for sprint planning including story point estimation and dependencies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate daily with Development, QA, Product Design, and User Assistance to ensure solutions are technically feasible and aligned with business goals; act as liaison between non-technical stakeholders and the technical team during sprints to prevent misunderstandings or delays.
  • Agile Ceremony Participation:
    Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; provide insights and ensure adherence to Scrum practices.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
    Define and write acceptance criteria; work with QA to develop test plans and ensure thorough coverage; assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate delivered features meet requirements; triage and verify fixes as needed during the sprint.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain comprehensive product requirements, process workflows, and release notes; document functional and non-functional specifications using tools such as Atlassian Confluence; ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for knowledge sharing and training.
  • Product Expertise & Support:
    Serve as a subject-matter expert on our products; communicate feature progress clearly to the team; conduct knowledge transfers to train internal teams on new features and workflows for product launches.
  • Integration & Deployment Support:
    Coordinate with Development and external partners on third-party integrations; gather integration requirements and ensure solutions work within the product ecosystem; support deployment activities by ensuring acceptance criteria and infrastructure needs are met before release.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to improve business analysis processes and Agile workflows; mentor junior analysts and contribute to refining team templates and standards for user stories and documentation.
Additional Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Experience:

    5+ years as a business analyst (or related role) in a software development environment, preferably with SaaS products; demonstrated ability to understand complex software systems and workflows in a cloud-based product setting.
  • Agile & Scrum Expertise:
    Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum teams; familiarity with Scrum practices; certification is preferred; ability to champion Scrum practices and potentially act as Scrum Product Owner on projects.
