EY is seeking a motivated professional with solid experience in the utilities sector to serve as a Senior Manager in Data Architecture, Data Modernization, end‑to‑end data capabilities, AI, Gen AI, and Agentic AI. Preference is given to candidates with a power systems/electrical engineering background who have delivered business use cases in Transmission / Distribution / Generation / Customer.

• Manage and deliver one or more processes, solutions, and projects with a focus on quality and effective risk management.
• Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices.
• Lead and mentor professional and technical team members, interpreting internal and external issues to recommend quality solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients’ senior decision makers, establishing credibility in data strategy and analytic technology solutions.
• Engage with senior business leaders to understand and shape their goals and analytics requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Data Scientists, Business Analysts, IT teams) to design and implement data strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Organize and lead workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to capture requirements and align on data architecture strategies.
• Lead the design and implementation of modern data architectures supporting transactional, operational, analytical, and AI solutions.
QUAL:
Demonstrate leadership in managing timelines, costs, quality, and both technical and non‑technical project teams.

• Cloud Computing & Architecture – Azure, GCP.
• Data Architecture Design & Modelling – Data Lakes, Data Fabrics, Data Mesh, Lake Housesauten.
• Data Integration & Quality – pipelines, transformations, governance.
• AI/Agentic AI driven data operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• 12+ years professional consulting experience in industry or technology consulting.
• 12+ years hands‑on experience in architecting, designing, delivering or optimising data lake solutions.
• 5+ years experience with native cloud products (Azure or GCP).
• 8+ years mentoring and leading data architect teams.
• In‑depth knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
• Experience leading large data engineering teams and designing complex architectures.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Data Ops practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Preferred Background
  • Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
  • Experience at a Big‑4 or a major utility.
  • Experience with Databricks and cloud data platforms.
  • Demonstrated mentorship and professional development focus.
