Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30a-5:30p

Contract Term: Anticipated 12‑month base; options/surge may be exercised; contingent on award.

Candidate Pay: $40.00 - $45.84/hr

You’ll build reliable, scalable data pipelines and models to power analytics, APIs, and ML workloads in a secure federal environment.

• Design, implement, and operate ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka)
• Model data for analytics and application consumption; enforce data quality & lineage
• Tune warehouses/lakes (Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, Delta/Lakehouse)
• Automate CI/CD for data workflows; implement monitoring and cost controls
• Partner with application and ML teams to deliver governed, production-ready datasets

• 3‑5 years data engineering experience in production environments
• Strong SQL and one scripting language (Python preferred)
• Hands‑on with at least one orchestrator (Airflow/Prefect) and one transformation tool (dbt/Spark)
• Familiarity with cloud data services (AWS/GCP/Azure), object storage, and IAM

• Streaming pipelines (Kafka/Kinesis/Pub Sub), schema registry, CDC
• Data versioning (DVC/LakeFS), great expectations or similar for quality
• Security and privacy controls; PII handling and encryption at rest/in transit

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data, or related field
• Equivalent experience may substitute for degree
