Front Desk Supervisor

Overview

Watermark  , located in downtown Baton Rouge, is looking for a full-time Front Desk (Guest Services) Supervisor
, who would report to the Guest Services Manager / Director of Rooms. The Guest Services Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Guest Services Manager while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests, prior to arrival and throughout their stay, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
• College course work in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license from the applicable state.

• Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
• Monitor all VIP and special guest requests.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
• Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
• Be familiar with all in-house groups.

Our one-of-a-kind hotel is a part of the Marriott Autograph Collection and boasts of a historic classic design both inside and out. Built as Baton Rouge's first "skyscraper" in 1927, our iconic building started out as the headquarters for Louisiana Trust & Savings Bank. After more than 50 years serving as a banking institution, our landmark continues to be informally called the Old Louisiana National Bank building.

The original architecture was Art Deco, but there are intriguing elements of Greek Revival design also present, making this one of the most eclectic and interesting structures in downtown Baton Rouge. Murals painted by celebrated New Orleans artist, Angela Gregory, have been painstakingly preserved and adorn the ceilings of our magnificent lobby and restaurant. Carved marble walls and a grand staircase lead down to the original bank vaults that held the treasures of Baton Rouge's elite.

Towering above downtown overlooking the Mississippi River, Watermark   stands as a tribute to the city's history and elegance. Stunningly preserved, our beautiful public spaces and restaurants blend references of the 20's through the 60's with modern design.
