The Practice Administrator is a key leadership position responsible for the overall management and daily operations of a CIS clinic. Reporting directly to the EVP of Practice Management, this role partners closely with physicians, team leaders, and senior leadership to ensure exceptional patient care, efficient clinic operations, regulatory compliance, and a positive workplace culture. The Practice Administrator oversees a small clinic environment, supervising fewer than 20 employees or supporting fewer than three physicians.
HowYou’ll Drive Our Mission Forward:
- Lead and manage daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow, excellent service, and operational efficiency
- Foster a professional, patient-centered environment by coaching, mentoring, and supporting clinic staff
- Serve as a liaison between physicians, staff, leadership, and patients to promote collaboration and clear communication
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and employee development
- Ensure compliance with CIS policies, HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid, and corporate compliance standards
- Manage administrative functions including billing oversight, accounts receivable, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory
- Address patient concerns, resolve issues, and represent both CIS and patients with professionalism and care
- Prepare reports, key indicator metrics, and budgets to support informed operational and financial decisions
- Support clinic growth initiatives, EMR optimization, and cross-clinic staffing needs as required
- Bachelor’s degree required (MBA or MHA preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience, ideally in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and managed care environments
- Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable performing hands-on administrative and non‑medical clinic duties when needed
- Proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Professional, approachable, and committed to teamwork and patient-centered care
- Bachelor’s or better in Business Administration or related field.
