Job DescriptionScope:
Ongoing upkeep of patient demographics, insurance information, and applicable consents; ensure all current information is documented in Mosai
Q; meet with patients during their initial physician consult; discuss their comprehensive financial responsibility based on their benefits; ensure patients understand their financial responsibility and options to pay; assist the Patient Access Manager and relevant departments with monthly reports; verify outstanding patient balances; assist patients with any inquiries about insurance, billing concerns, or questions arising from correspondence received.
- Inform patient of payment policy; coordinate arrangements for patients needing financial assistance
- Complete summary of payment options for patients; refer patients to Patient Liaison who meet the eligibility requirements to apply for Medicaid
- Meet with new patients before initial physician consult; obtain and verify all demographic information; complete comprehensive summary of financial responsibility and payment options
- Follow up with patients who need updated demographics, insurance information, or have an outstanding financial responsibility
- Ensure authorizations are obtained before treatment; communicate with clinical staff to ensure no authorizations are missed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years medical customer service required
- Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multi‑task assignments
- Independent thinker, self‑starter with good troubleshooting skills
