Overview
The PACS Coordinator supports the clinical departments of Radiology, Ultrasound, Breast Center, Osteoporosis, Nuclear Medicine, CT, MRI, PET-CT, Image Sharing, and the After Hours radiology reading service regarding PACS/VR systems and related IT products.
Requirements- Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of work experience in an Imaging Services field or IT/Computer Science field.
- Workflow analysis and physician/associate training in all aspects of clinical applications.
- Develops and supports new computer applications for the Imaging Services department.
- Revises and supports existing software applications to stay up-to-date on upgrades for equipment associated with PACS and other IT supporting products.
- Acts as a liaison between Imaging Services/Cancer Pavilion, hospital departments and physicians.
- Offers IT support to physicians on and off campus and to individuals in the community. Manages vendor relationships.
- Oversees system upgrades.
- Assists with revenue cycle including charge master and outstanding/denied accounts in internal charge capture systems.
- Monday - Friday
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Participates in call rotation every other week; call schedule runs from 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM the next day
- Salaried;
Exempt Position - $69,763 - $115,000
