The Speech and Language Therapist will play a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism and ADHD. This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality diagnostic assessments and tailored interventions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental and specialist developmental assessments for children and/or adults.
- Utilize standardized diagnostic tools to assess Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Apply diagnostic criteria and consider differential diagnoses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement personalized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records and reports.
- Communicate findings effectively with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in the field of neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Expertise in conducting neurodevelopmental and specialist developmental assessments.
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 criteria for Autism and ADHD.
- ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Additional qualifications in Autism and/or ADHD assessment or intervention.
- Experience in differential diagnosis across neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
- HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or NMC registered nurse.
- Experience with children and/or adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties.
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong background in report writing and clinical documentation.
