Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a reliable and compassionate Life Enrichment Assistant to join our Baton Rouge team. In this role, you will assist the Life Enrichment team with activities that promote engagement, socialization, and overall well‑being for our residents.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys the open road, values safety, and finds purpose in supporting older adults in both practical and meaningful ways.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate the community vehicle(s) to transport residents to scheduled medical appointments, shopping trips, recreational outings, and other activities.
- Assist residents on and off the vehicle, providing mobility support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and fueling of the vehicle(s).
- Follow all traffic laws and community policies to ensure safe transportation.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and resident attendance.
- Assist the Life Enrichment Director with setting up or supporting group and one‑on‑one resident activities.
- Encourage resident participation and help foster a fun, welcoming environment.
- Provide companionship and support to residents between activities as needed.
- Contribute to creating a positive community atmosphere where residents feel engaged and valued.

- Active Chauffeur License in the state of Louisiana
- Clear Driving Record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with older adults, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
- Familiarity with cognitive and physical limitations commonly associated with aging
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
