Rad Tech- Cath Lab PRN

Overview

JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION:
To assist in technical procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, by providing safe patient care; maintaining and operating physiological monitor/recording system; assisting physicians; processing films; and performing all other assigned duties. Manages situations and problems in invasive and therapeutic cardiac procedures by applying advanced cardiovascular knowledge and skills. Performs job for the age population served, as defined in the department's scope of service.

• Receives patient and monitors procedures to ensure patient safety.

• Evaluates lab values accurately.
• Recognizes and effectively responds to emergent situations.
• Administers life support, when necessary, with compliance to ACLS protocol.
• Records procedural events in McKesson system.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hemodynamic data collected during procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy and physiology.
• Operates technical equipment used in procedures.
