Revenue Tax Analyst

We’re looking for a Revenue Tax Analyst 3 to join our Revenue Processing Center
.

• Interpret and evaluate work items issues that section members are experiencing and communicate section issues to IT or RPC as necessary.
• Provide non-technical support to taxpayers, tax representatives, governmental representatives and agency staff.
• Perform IT work item and process testing for the section as required.
• Communicate with taxpayers or their representatives as needed to educate them in the proper manner to complete tax returns and make payments.
• Review employees' work queues for quality assurance.

Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in administrative services.

Experience Substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.

LA R.S.15:587.5, 587.6 and the IRS require the Louisiana Department of Revenue to conduct a criminal history records check of a prospective employee who will access federal tax information to perform job duties. Any applicant who receives and accepts a conditional offer of employment will require a completed criminal history records check prior to his or her first day of work.

No Civil Service test score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
