We’re looking for an Auditor to join our Agency Compliance Division
.
- Three years of experience in accounting or auditing.
- Six years of full‑time experience in any field plus twenty‑four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems.
- A bachelor’s degree with twenty‑four semester hours in one or a combination of the following: accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics.
- A bachelor’s degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation.
- An advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full‑time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Job Duties- Assist in the risk assessment for IRS 6103 safeguarding, internal controls and confidentiality compliance.
- Plan and perform reviews of LDR business units, field offices and contractors/subcontractors for compliance with IRS publication 1075, state confidentiality laws and internal safeguarding standards.
- Develop audit plans and testing procedures to evaluate controls related to access management, data security, disclosure practices, vendor compliance, training and physical security of Federal Tax Information (FTI).

Career Progression: This position may be filled as an Auditor 1, 2 or 3.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
This posting may be used to fill vacancies in other divisions available within the Louisiana Department of Revenue within 90 days of the closing date.
A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.
LA R.S.15:587.5, 587.6 and the IRS require the Louisiana Department of Revenue to conduct a criminal history records check of a prospective employee who will access federal tax information to perform job duties.
