Main Bank Cashier

Overview

Join our team as the Main Bank Cashier at L'Auberge Baton Rouge
. In this role you will protect and manage the casino’s currency, ensuring accurate and secure handling of cash, coins, and chips. You will work closely with the main bank, the Count Room Supervisor, and management to maintain proper controls and record-keeping. Our fast‑paced environment rewards attention to detail, strong math skills, and the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.

• Maintain protection of large amounts of currency, preventing loss through extreme care and attention to detail.
• Summarize and inventory all casino cage cash, coin, chips, and records.
• Process all casino deposits.
• Monitor all coin vault transactions.
• Coordinate transactions between cashiers and the main bank.
• Function as a window casher as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of exchanges and transactions.
• Ensure procedures and proper controls are followed to protect counted receipts.
• Maintain awareness of changes or problems that may affect the security of currency in the Count Room and report observations to the Count Room Supervisor.
• Manage and monitor inventory levels, balancing kiosks for a specific shift.
• Communicate status of fluctuating cash levels to appropriate management.

• Age 21 or older.
• Valid state gaming license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of prior work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
• Previous money‑handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals, and to present information and respond to questions from guests.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including ability to push, pull, carry, lift up to 25 lbs., and to move in confined spaces.

Starting Salary: $18.00 per hour.
