As our new Air Quality Managing Consultant, you will be part of Ramboll’s Air Sciences Group, which is part of Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assist Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems. The Air Sciences Group consults with clients across various industries and geographies on a range of topics, including but not limited to air permitting, emissions estimation, regulatory enforcement matters and compliance, air dispersion modeling, human health risk assessment, climate change, climate action planning, climate adaptation/resiliency, sustainability initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience supporting these topics within the Chemical and/or Pharmaceutical sectors.
The successful candidate will have experience managing consulting assignments, must work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, is expected to be proficient in the analysis and communication of information, and must be able to work cooperatively with agencies, organizations, and individuals to guide decision-making. They are expected to be proficient in all facets of project management. They must demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and developing Consultant and Senior Consultant level staff and to collaborating with colleagues throughout the Practice.
Responsibilities- Preparing air quality permit applications
- Conducting air permitting/compliance regulatory reviews
- Managing projects and serving as the technical lead overseeing and training Consultant and Senior Consultant level staff on complex projects
- Managing client relationships and the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, permitting, compiling, and drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings, to co-workers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Conducting site visits
- Maintaining regular contact with clients and developing proposals for environmental compliance related work
- Responsible for the preparation of plans, reports, permit applications and other project documents; lead technical evaluations of data commensurate with experience
- Manage the technical, schedule and budgetary elements of projects

- 7+ years of related experience, largely in air quality permitting and compliance,with a focus in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical sector
