Who are we looking for?Our Environmental business in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join our team. In this role you will contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects.
Responsibilities- Design engineering solutions; conduct feasibility testing and supervise implementation.
- Follow HSE policies, identify and mitigate environmental risks, and promote safe behaviors within the team.
- Lead waste management projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective waste segregation and disposal.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for equipment and experiments.
- Research and recommend technical developments to improve project outcomes.
- Create engineering drawings to support solution communication and implementation.
- Collect and analyze data using established tools and methods.
- Manage projects within established project plans to achieve specific goals.
- Design test procedures and standards based on product specifications.
- Conduct research activities to support project requirements.
- Develop personal capabilities through training, coaching, and external professional accreditation.
- Assist senior colleagues in client and customer relationship management.
- Prepare technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate and implement permit procurement for projects.
- Interpret and evaluate environmental regulations.
- Compile and interpret data for remediation and maintenance decisions.
- PE or PG in Texas or New Mexico highly regarded.
- 3–8 years in environmental consulting, including permitting & compliance, remediation & design, site assessments, report writing, data management, and project coordination.
- Experience coordinating and managing multiple tasks with high attention to detail in a consulting environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of NMOCD and NM SLO rules related to assessment and remediation.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification a plus.
- Experience with electrical systems and remediation system operation and maintenance.
- Willingness to travel for field work.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology or related field.

Experienced practitioner capable of working unsupervised (13 months to 3 years). - Managerial
Experience:
Basic experience coordinating the work of others (4–6 months).
