Graduate Civil Engineer – Baton Rouge

As a member of a project team, the Graduate Engineer will perform engineering and design duties, applying engineering principles. Assignments are closely supervised and designed to further develop the intern’s job knowledge and abilities.

• Apply sound engineering principles and standards to utility substation or transmission line designs.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the project.
• Assist in the performance of the quality review of all project documents, ensuring adherence to company QA/QC practices and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of specifications and material lists.
• Populate the project change log throughout the project cycle with adequate out-of-scope descriptions and hours associated with the additional work.
• Populate the project RFI log throughout the project cycle and follow up on information required within the log.
• Work with Supervising Engineers and Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within project budget.
• Assist with performing Project Close‑Out and As‑Built revisions.
• Visit construction sites with Project Engineer to inspect work in progress or completed, as required by client.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project Engineer.

• Currently enrolled in a university with a graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026.
• Currently majoring in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent major; power focus is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S., currently and in the future, without visa sponsorship.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is a plus.
