DescriptionAtakapa Services, LLC. (A Waggoner Company) specializes in evaluating, maintaining and designing rehabilitation methods for sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure. We work with municipalities, wastewater utility contractors and engineering firms to inspect, clean, and rehabilitate their underground wastewater and drainage infrastructure. We provide a comprehensive range of services and reports to help our clients address the most complex sewer and storm drain operation and maintenance problems.
We are hiring a Project Manager for our Baton Rouge office. The role will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day of our crews throughout the State of Louisiana. Initially, the selected candidate will become familiar with operating and maintaining equipment, as well as learning the day-to-day operations of a CCTV and combination truck crew. From there, you will be transitioned into a management role, assisting with projects that include proposal development, day-to-day job tracking, closeout, and submittal.
Responsibilities- Project Support:
Assist project managers and fellow team members in various environmental projects, including site assessments, remediation efforts, data collection, proposals, and project tracking. - Environmental Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards while conducting remediation activities. - Operate Equipment:
Safely operate and maintain Cleaning and Inspection equipment, such as combination trucks and CCTV equipment, to ensure efficient and effective remediation processes. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, operational activities, and compliance reports as required by regulatory agencies. - Safety Oversight:
Monitor and enforce safety protocols to protect the health and well-being of yourself and your team members. - Manage day-to-day operations of several crews in the surrounding area.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar field.
- There will be a 4-month training period in the field.
- Ability to learn and understand environmental regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in the field.
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and PDF editing.
- Safety Focus: A commitment to safety and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
- Team Player:
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Strong sense of time management, scheduling and organization.
