Math Teacher, Tutoring, Youth Development
and the job listing Expires on February 10, 2026
Our philosophy revolves around teaching math in a way that makes sense to students. We assess students’ math abilities and create customized learning plans that teach them the next math skills that they need to learn.
We are located at 7731 Perkins Rd in Baton Rouge. We teach in a study hall-type environment with students of all ages, so we need instructors who have solid math skills and strong communication skills. We help our students solve their problems, not just tell them what to do.
We serve our students year-round, so this is an opportunity for regular part-time work. You must be available at least 2 days out of the 6 days that we are open. Shifts begin at 3:00 PM and we close at 7:00 Monday-Thursday, Saturday 10-1 PM and Sunday 1-5 PM.
Our backgrounds are diverse. Some of us are college students working towards degrees in math or related fields. Some of us are former or current school teachers. Some are even high-school juniors and seniors. But all of us love math, we and love seeing that spark of understanding on a student’s face.
Requirements:- Exceptional math skills through high-school Algebra I and Geometry
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
- Energetic and confident personality
- Looking for part-time work
