Physician - Peds Emergency Medicine

Job Title : Physician

• The Staff Physician provides direct patient care and emergency services to ensure that patient health care needs are met at all times.

• MD
• Board eligible or boarded in pediatric emergency medicine
• Current unrestricted Louisiana Medical License

• Patient Care
• Provides direct patient care in the office and at other locations, develops treatment plans, and assesses patient's response to treatment while ensuring that all health care services provided are of the highest quality.
• Provides high-quality emergency care to patients on an on-call basis and in rotation with other physicians to meet patient needs (Industrial Medical Center's Staff Physician does not provide on-call services).
• Collaboration and Partnership
• Collaborates with other physicians to ensure high-quality medical care and advanced health care services.
• Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, and training sessions to share expertise and enhance education for new personnel, volunteers, and students.
• Quality and Performance Improvement
• Investigates new techniques, practices, and equipment to maximize quality and efficiency of health care services.
• Assists in developing and implementing continuous quality improvement programs and participates in multidisciplinary efforts.
• Ensures all services are provided with compassion, understanding, and respect.
• Promotes adherence to the hospital's mission, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality care and departmental effectiveness.
• Stays current with latest trends through seminars, workshops, conferences, and professional affiliations.
• Other Duties
